My name is George Muiruri
and I love my country Kenya. I am an accredited Media Practitioner, by the Media Council of Kenya, and my company, Anecdote Films is a registered film company in Kenya, and a licensed Film Agent by the Kenya Film Classification Board. From 2009, when I came back to Kenya, to 2014, I worked as a writer and print journalist, while dabbling in documentary filmmaking. I committed fully to documentary filmmaking after my resignation in 2014.
Since 2014, I have fixed/produced for Nike, Springhill Company, VCCP London, Imagine Nation Collective, Cloud Nine Media, and I have been a documentary filmmaker for Global Fund, Mastercard Foundation, Dearworld, UNHCR, UNFPA, Kenya Red Cross Society, and various other organizations and companies.
